Title:
Letter from Marjorie Saint to "Dear Girls" on conversations with film studios
Date Created:
1957-06
Description:
Four page letter from Marjorie Saint to "Dear Girls," June 1957. On a brief furlough to the United States, Marjorie was acting as deputy for the four widows, along with their joint legal representative, Sam Saint. Among other business concerns related to the ongoing Life magazine coverage, general publicity, and legal discussions for Elisabeth Elliot's recent book Through Gates of Splendor, Marjorie reports on several conversations with Christian filmmakers and Hollywood studios concerning a proposed film project on their husbands and the Waorani. Saint calls for a vote from the four women on whether the project should be dramatic or documentarian in nature.
