Condensed article in Reader's Digest magazine. Paper, 5-1/4" x 7-1/2", 20 pages. “Through Gates of Splendor," by Abe C. Van Der Puy of the World Radio Missionary Fellowship, that appeared in the August 1956 issue of the magazine. The article is presented as a condensation from a forthcoming book by Van Der Puy, telling the story of the men’s lives, faith, death, and impact. The article was actually completely rewritten by Digest editor Clarence Hall, although retaining Van Der Puy’s name. Eventually, Van Der Puy was unable to complete the book and Elisabeth Elliot was asked to take over the task.
