Home movies taken by the missionaries to document Operation Auca on Palm Beach. Includes views of Nate Saint landing and taking off from the sand bar at Palm Beach; Jim Elliot, Ed McCully, and Nate Saint (in pith helmet) standing near the plane on Palm Beach and unloading supplies; one of the missionaries putting up a pole with cloth streamers to attract the attention of Waorani; views of Palm Beach and the Waorani settlement from the air; view of the tree house the men assembled; several scenes with of the three Waorani who visited on January 6, primarily Naenwiki and Gimari; Youderian giving Naenwiki insect repellent lotion; McCully showing a Bible to Mintaka, Naenwiki with a model airplane. The film then includes earlier footage before Palm Beach, showing the Waorani village from the air; Peter Fleming and Jim Elliot unloading a sack with gifts from the Waorani, including dead animals and necklaces, with Elliot and Ed McCully pretending to eat the animals raw; Fleming, Youderian, Elliot and McCully and another man, possible Johnny Keenan, preparing the bucket drop equipment and the plane for another flight. The next footage is again of Palm Beach showing the building of the tree house; Naenkiwi, Guiimadi, and Mintaka at Palm Beach; Naenkiwi examining the airplane; Nate Saint, Jim Elliot, Roger Youderian and Ed McCully using a model airplane to show Naenwiki why it is necessary to chop down trees and canes to make a safe place for the plane to land; Naenkiwi and Guiimadi examining the plane.
